Allan Ross IFA Ware ‘highly commended’ in RPA estate planning category

On June 15th 2018 Allan Ross, Lonsdale Wealth Management independent financial adviser and member of the Ware financial planning team was runner up and ‘highly commended’ in the Best Estate Planning Adviser of the year category at the Retirement Planner Awards.
Lonsdale Mortgages is part of Lonsdale Services Limited. Our mortgage broking team work at our St Albans office, alongside the team of independent financial advisers at Lonsdale Services.
IFA Allan Ross and administrator Natalie Rispin attended the awards ceremony at the Waldorf Hilton London. Six financial planning companies were shortlisted in the Best Estate Planning category.
Lonsdale Services also won the Best Individual Pension Advice firm of the year and were shortlisted for the Best Pensions Freedom Service award. In 2017 Deb Nolan from the Lonsdale Wealth Management Leeds/Bradford office won the Outstanding Customer Care Award.

‘The Ware financial planning team were pleased to receive a ‘highly commended’ award for our estate planning case study. We work with many Ware and Hertford solicitors jointly assisting clients by working on inheritance tax planning solutions. It is good that the Retirement Planner Awards recognise the importance of both estate planning and retirement planning when offering clients a personalised financial planning solution.
To enter this award the Ware financial planning team had to submit a case study to show how the estate planning team had supported intermediary clients. The judges were looking for the following:
- Details of case study and size and scope of team involved
- Any particular challenges the team faced and how they dealt with them
- Initiatives that best highlight excellent support delivered by the team
- Any strategies and tactics employed that highlight the team’s outstanding support
- Intermediary testimonials that highlight the above
The judging panel Chairman, Retirement Planner editor Jenna Towler said: ‘All the submissions were of a very high standard showing just how impressive the people working in the retirement planning and advice space really are. Retirement advice is, as ever, an extremely important part of a financial adviser's business. Our winners and highly commended entrants deserve recognition and praise for their efforts.’
