According to a MoneyFacts report in May 2020 although the number of mortgage deals has fallen dramatically by almost 50%, of those remaining mortgage deals the average mortgage rate on two year fixed mortgage deals and five year fixed mortgage deals has hit historic lows, not seen since Moneyfacts started their electronic records in 2007.
