Lonsdale Mortgages Sue Sykes passes Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice

In January Sue Sykes, Lonsdale Mortgage Administrator and member of the St Albans mortgage broking team passed the final mortgage exams to complete her Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMap). 

Gaining this certification is the first step towards becoming a qualified mortgage broker.  Sue now has to do on the job training and gain practical experience under supervision before she can be signed off as a ‘competent adviser.’

Sue studied for the qualification through the London Institute of Banking & Finance.  Last Autumn Sue sat the two hour papers in Mortgages and the Assessment of Mortgage Advice and Knowledge, which involved six case studies with ten multiple choice questions.  In August 2017 Sue passed the UK Financial Regulation and UK Financial Services and Regulation modules.

Sue Sykes, Lonsdale Mortgages Administrator and member of the St Albans Mortgage Broking team said:

‘It is great to have passed all the modules and to finally gain CeMAP certification.  I learnt so much studying for the exams and I hope that I will be able to use this knowledge when I work with Lonsdale Mortgages clients in the future.
